Why Ebony costs more
Ebony grows slowly and reaches the market in small amounts. It is the hardest wood we cut: it wears down the saw blade, and every curve takes longer by hand.

An angel with open wings and a brass halo. Brass lines trace the wings and the robe. Ebony makes her dark and formal; European walnut makes her warm and soft.
We cut every pair from its own part of the plate, so no other pair carries the same grain. The Base and the design come from the same wood.
Size: 35.5 x 30.5 mm, below a 22 x 27 mm Base. About 8 cm long with the hook. Each earring weighs about 4.4 g in Ebony and about 3.0 g in European Walnut.
Why the price differs: Ebony is among the rarest and hardest woods we use, and takes the longest to cut and inlay.
Materials
Exotic wood, hand-sanded to a silk-smooth surface and sealed with a plant-based hardwax oil. Solid brass lines, set by hand. Hooks and loops in gold-tone PVD-coated stainless steel.
Sensitive skin
Ebony, Ziricote and Padauk can irritate very sensitive skin. We seal the wood with a plant-based hardwax oil. The hooks and loops, the parts that touch your skin, are gold-tone PVD-coated stainless steel, and our supplier provides REACH documentation for them.
Care
Keep them dry and away from perfume. Wipe them with a soft, dry cloth, and store them in their box. Over the months, brass takes on a warmer, deeper tone. In the first 2 years we refresh the face for free, up to twice a year. You pay the postage both ways.
Shipping and withdrawal
We ship from 15 November with GLS, in order of purchase, and send you the tracking link. Order by 14 December and your pair arrives before Christmas. By law you can withdraw from the day you order until 14 days after your earrings arrive. We refund the price and standard delivery within 14 days, and you pay the return postage.
